Police in Bolesławiec warn against fraudsters who try to steal money. The situations in which we may become victims of criminals can vary. As reports show, fraudsters call us or enter our homes under various pretexts, for example asking for water, offering various items for sale at attractive prices, or posing as officials such as a postman, police officer, ZUS employee, social welfare worker, emergency medical services worker, gas company employee, energy company employee or representatives of other institutions.

The perpetrators try various methods and pretexts. Residents hear about water-supply network failures and the need to check whether pipes are watertight, or about overpayments made by the apartment owner and the possibility of immediately recovering the money. Fraudsters claim to be employees of various institutions and companies.
