The bactericidal lamps installed use ultraviolet radiation to remove bacteria, viruses and fungi from the water. Thanks to the device, it will no longer be necessary to use chemicals, and the quality of the treated water will improve in terms of taste, smell and health properties. Of the currently known methods of water disinfection, disinfection using UV radiation is considered the most effective, rapid and reliable, while causing the least environmental pollution.

The investment cost PLN 54,919.50 and was fully financed from the Gromadka Municipality’s own funds.
