Renovation work is under way at the PKP railway station building in Bolesławiec. Interestingly, it is already known that the building will house a branch of the District Court in Jelenia Góra, or, more precisely, the headquarters of the Opinion-Giving Team of Court Specialists. “Within the structure of the District Court, there are Opinion-Giving Teams of Court Specialists: one in Jelenia Góra and another in Bolesławiec,” informs Elżbieta Szuflicka-Leszkiewicz, director of the District Court in Jelenia Góra.
The Bolesławiec team had previously operated on Kościuszki Street, but the conditions left much to be desired, so another location was sought. Despite the difficulties, a suitable place was found. The Opinion-Giving Team of Court Specialists will be based on the first floor of the new station, occupying approximately 300 square metres.
What does the Opinion-Giving Team of Court Specialists do?
Such teams employ specialists who, at the request of a court or prosecutor’s office, prepare opinions on family, guardianship and juvenile matters. They also conduct psychological, educational and medical examinations, as well as mediations and community interviews, and provide counselling.
When will the station be ready?
According to information E. Szuflicka-Leszkiewicz received from PKP, the Bolesławiec station building will be opened for use at the end of June this year.
It is also known that the ground floor will contain ticket offices, service premises—including a hairdresser—and a waiting room.
We will certainly return to this matter.
