On Tuesday, 22 December, a Christmas Eve gathering for children was held at the therapeutic day centre of the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Bolesławiec. Representatives of the “Młodzi Demokraci” Association gave the children soft toys.
“We are very pleased that we were able to make this special day more memorable in this way,” says the organisation’s chairman, Przemysław Tyndyra. “The joy and smiles on the children’s faces motivate us to continue our activities,” he adds.
“We want to organise activities aimed at children more often; their smiles are an expression of gratitude and thanks to us,” notes Wojciech Kasprzyk. “We would like our activities to become an example for others to follow. We are pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from the children and their carers,” adds Łukasz Król.
“For my part, I am delighted by the attitude of the young people who organise activities of this kind,” comments Lucyna Korotusz, the day centre manager.
