– Police officers from the Ścinawa Police Station, driving a marked patrol car, spotted a motorcyclist in one of the towns. The officers’ attention was drawn to the motorcycle because it had no license plate. Wanting to stop the rider for a traffic check, the officers switched on their lights and siren, signaling the man to stop. However, he accelerated and began fleeing,” reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin.

The officers pursued him. During the chase, when the police caught up with the motorcyclist, he slowed down and then, accelerating, struck the right side of the patrol car.

The officers continued the pursuit. After a moment, they overtook the man and stopped, intending to prevent the irresponsible driver from continuing. The spokesperson:

However, the fugitive had no intention of submitting to the check, as he had too much to answer for. He struck the rear of the patrol car and continued his reckless ride. The officers resumed the pursuit and eventually detained a man who turned out to be a 40-year-old resident of Ścinawa municipality.

During the check, it emerged that the 40-year-old had fled because he did not have a driving license. A drug test indicated that he might be under the influence of amphetamine and methamphetamine. In addition, the officers found amphetamine on the man.

Moreover, the motorcycle did not have a valid technical inspection or the required third-party liability insurance.

The 40-year-old suspect was taken to a police cell. He faces three months to as many as five years in prison. He will also have to cover the cost of repairing the patrol car.
