– Last Saturday, within just a few hours, officers from the Legnica traffic police removed as many as three irresponsible drivers, aged 24, 28 and 33, from the roads of Legnica – reports junior inspector Jagoda Ekiert, press officer of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica. – A preliminary drug test showed a positive result for the presence of intoxicating substances in the bodies of the residents of Legnica County. Blood was taken from the men for further testing, and their driving licences were seized.
That same day, officers from the Police Station in Chojnów detained in Niedźwiedzice a 41-year-old resident of Słubice County who was driving a VW while intoxicated. A breathalyser test showed 2.3 per mille of alcohol in her exhaled air.
And on 11 April, on Rataja Street, traffic police officers caught a 43-year-old resident of Legnica. The man, with nearly one per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air, was driving a Citroën.
