Engaged hip-hop has been doing increasingly well lately. Following the very warm reception of the new album by the duo Run The Jewels and the controversy surrounding Mata’s “Patoreakcja” (nearly 16 million views on YouTube since March 30), another hip-hop track with a powerful message has appeared online. And it was recorded by a rapper from nearby Przemków – Dominik Kearney, known by the pseudonym DOMINIKzZDS.
As the creator himself says, he is a miner by day, and the song is about “patriotism stolen by those in power”.
What do you think of this track? We invite you to discuss it.
It is worth adding that this is by no means the rapper’s first track criticizing Law and Justice. You can find the previous ones on the DOMINIKzZDS channel. We also encourage you to listen to his original show on the online radio station Radiospacja, “KilometrPodZiemią”. The program is built around 1990s hip-hop.
