“The father of the 4-year-old notified the duty officer at the Lubin police station that his son had been in an accident. He was bleeding heavily because he had put his leg under a running lawnmower. He needed to get to the hospital with his son as quickly as possible and was asking for help,” reports junior inspector Wojciech Jabłoński of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin.
Spokesperson:
The duty officer at the local station informed traffic officers on duty about the report. Police officers from one of the patrols at the outskirts of Lubin spotted the caller’s car and then began escorting it—they activated their emergency signals and set off toward the hospital.
A second patrol joined them a short time later. Under the escort of the police cars, the 4-year-old quickly and safely reached the care of doctors.
At the hospital, it turned out that the child’s injuries were very serious. Medical staff decided to transfer the boy to a hospital in Wrocław. There, the child was placed under the care of specialists.
The doctors managed to help the boy. His life is no longer in danger.
