On Saturday, officers arrested a 30-year-old resident of Zgorzelec who had been banned from driving by the Lwówek court. That same day, they also arrested a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County who was subject to a driving ban and was riding a moped.
Moreover, on Easter Eve, officers stopped a driver on one of the streets of Bolesławiec who had got behind the wheel with 2.4 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
On Sunday, meanwhile, as many as three drivers subject to court-imposed bans fell into the hands of the officers:
- a 29-year-old woman from Bolesławiec County. (The passenger in her car was a wanted person and has four months in prison to serve for... violating a court-imposed ban);
- a 22-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, who also has a prison sentence to serve for drug-related offences;
- a 22-year-old man who, in addition to being subject to a court-imposed ban, was completely drunk, with more than 2.3 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled breath.
The five drivers who violated court-imposed bans face between three months and as much as five years in prison. Driving while intoxicated is punishable by up to two years in prison.
