Here are the award winners:

  • Katarzyna Abramowicz – a student at the Second General Secondary School in Bolesławiec, she competed in regional and national swimming events in 2020. During the competitions, she improved her records in all the distances she trains for. Katarzyna Abramowicz’s most important achievements include participating in the Arena Grand Prix Polish Cup in Poznań, where, competing against Poland’s best female athletes, she placed seventh in both the 50 m and 200 m butterfly. At the Lower Silesian Swimming Championships in the “14 and older” age category, she won a gold medal in the 200 m butterfly and silver medals in the 50 m and 100 m butterfly. At the Polish Winter Championships for 15-year-olds in Łódź, she competed in three butterfly finals.
  • Michał Zazula – an athlete representing the Inter-School Sports Club “Bolesłavia,” in 2020 he became the Polish runner-up in the indoor seven-event athletics competition at the Polish Indoor Championships in Toruń, scoring 4,825 points. At the Polish U18 Championships in Radom, Michał Zazula became the Polish champion in the long jump and the Lower Silesian champion in the long jump and high jump. He is part of the National Junior Team training program and holds a Class II sports qualification.
  • Gracjan Kozak – an athlete representing the Inter-School Sports Club “Bolesłavia,” in 2020 he represented Poland at the Poland–Czech Republic Junior International Match in Karpacz, where he placed first in the discus throw and second in the shot put. Gracjan Kozak is the Polish runner-up in the discus throw and shot put, a bronze medalist at the Polish LZS Championships in the shot put, and the Lower Silesian champion in the discus throw and shot put. He is part of the National Junior Team training program and holds a Class I sports qualification.
  • Klaudia Petters stood on the podium several times in cycling, running and triathlon events in 2020, despite the short season. Her greatest successes include winning a silver medal at the Polish Mountain Road Cycling Championships and taking first place in the Marconi Duathlon Świdnica, the “Śnieżne konwalie” orienteering marathon and the Zielonogórski Novita Half Marathon.
  • The Inter-School Sports Club “Bolesłavia” is a respected athletics training center in Lower Silesia and Poland. The club’s most important achievements in 2020 included winning seven medals at the Polish Championships and Polish LZS Championships. Its athletes won 71 medals at the Lower Silesian Championships in various age categories and nine at the macroregion championships. The MKS Bolesłavia Club operates the National LZS Youth Sports Training Center and runs the nationwide “Athletics for Everyone” program, which includes four training groups. Two club athletes are part of the National Team training program, while six are in the National Team development squad. Thirty-seven club athletes, both male and female, obtained sports classifications, including thirteen Class III, four Class II and one Class I qualification. In 2020, the club scored 137 points in the youth sports system organized by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport and placed fourth in Lower Silesia in the competition among children and youth conducted among Lower Silesian athletics clubs.
  • The “Olimpijczyk” Bolesławiec Special Olympics Club operates at the District Complex of Special Schools and Institutions in Bolesławiec. In 2020, two athletes from the club, Tomasz Hajde and Jacek Gąsieniec, received multiple awards at the 10th National Winter Special Olympics in Zakopane. Tomasz Hajde won three gold medals and one silver medal in cross-country skiing over 1,000 m, 2,500 m and 5,000 m, while Jacek Gąsieniec won one silver and three bronze medals in cross-country skiing over 500 m, 1,000 m and 2,500 m.
  • Road Racing.pl Association – an association bringing together road-cycling enthusiasts, it was established in 2015 and currently has 30 members from across Lower Silesia. Thanks to the commitment of its members, since 2019 the Bolesławiec district has hosted the “Via Dolny Śląsk” amateur road-cycling event, held twice so far and attracting the largest field in the country. In 2020, as part of the “Via Dolny Śląsk” competitions, Road Racing.pl athletes achieved leading positions in the team competition. The association also supports people in need.
  • The Romet Factory Team Youth Team, consisting of Jan Krupa, Mikołaj Krupa and Grzegorz Stankiewicz. The young Romet Factory Team athletes Jan Krupa, Mikołaj Krupa and Grzegorz Stankiewicz have represented the club only since the 2020 season, yet they have already achieved significant success in mountain biking. Among other achievements, they took first place as a team in the youth category in the overall standings of the Bike Maraton, Poland’s largest cycling event, which consisted exclusively of mountain stages.
  • The Pirat Bolesławiec Student Sailing Club – founded in February 2018, the association brings together children, parents, teachers and sailing enthusiasts. It currently has 44 members from Bolesławiec and the surrounding region. Pirat Club runs two sports sections and a sailing school. Its members compete in regional, national and international regattas. In 2020, its athletes represented Bolesławiec at the “9th UKS Żeglarz Sailing Regatta for the Cup” in Wrocław and at the “Berzi Cup 2020” regatta in Germany. The club participates in the nationwide PolSailing Sailing Education Program, organized by the Polish Yachting Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport.
