The District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec on the incident:

[…] at approximately 2:25 p.m., the command post of the District Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec received a report of a man trapped beneath a passenger car in Brzeźnik. When the crews arrived at the scene, it turned out that the vehicle had rolled down the driveway of a property, crushing the man and damaging the entrance gate.

The injured man was initially helped by his neighbours. One of them was a firefighter from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, junior aspirant Dominik Sługocki. The officer smashed a window in the vehicle, applied the parking brake and, with the help of other witnesses, lifted the car and evacuated the man from underneath it. He then provided qualified first aid.

The uniformed officers add:

The crews from the Bolesławiec Rescue and Firefighting Unit and the Brzeźnik Volunteer Fire Service immediately continued providing qualified first aid to the injured man (administering oxygen therapy, psychological support and stabilising him with an orthopaedic board) and secured the car against movement.
