Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn detained a 24-year-old resident of Legnica County who used a previously stolen phone to hack into a bank account. KPP:
The suspect used a mobile application and, by bypassing electronic security measures, withdrew nearly PLN 3,000 from the victim’s bank account in several transactions made within a short period of time. After making the withdrawals, he also sold the phone at a pawnshop.
The officers recovered the stolen property. The suspect confessed to the crime. He explained that he had used the money for his own needs. He could now face between one and as many as ten years in prison.
