The incident occurred on Wednesday, 17 March, in the morning. Police arrived at a church in the village of Czerna. As we managed to establish, the entire matter was related to a retreat. Officers received a report that too many worshippers were in the church, including a large number of children.
By the time the officers arrived, there were no longer any children in the church. The priest informed the officers that when he saw how many people had come (definitely too many given the restrictions in force), he sent the children home and instructed the adults to sit apart from one another at appropriate distances.
According to the Bolesławiec police, the priest, as the person responsible for the premises, acted correctly: he reacted immediately. The patrol that intervened reminded everyone gathered in the church about the restrictions.
