The wait for Christmas is filled with festive events. On Sunday, December 13, another Evening of Christmas Traditions was held in Łaziska near Bolesławiec, organized by the Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu in Bolesławiec, the Łaziska Rural Housewives’ Circle and the Łaziska Village Council.

The event included arts and crafts, music and cooking workshops. The arts and crafts groups prepared Christmas tree decorations: candle holders, chains and stars.

The Ocice ensemble provided the musical accompaniment. That evening, the hall of the Folk House rang with the most beautiful Polish and Croatian carols.

Under the watchful eye of the women from the association, the little ones shaped cookies and made pierogi filled with cabbage and mushrooms.

After dinner, the children from the 4-H Club in Łaziska performed on stage, putting on a Nativity play, followed by a dance group from Bolesławiec.

An auction of works created by students of the Primary School in Ocice was also held that day. The proceeds from the auction were intended to purchase an insulin pump for nine-year-old Liliana from Ocice.
