As we read on the profile of DZPN Jelenia Góra subdistrict:
Zjednoczeni Nowogrodziec will be a new club that will begin competing in the 2021/2022 season, starting in the B-class competition. It is another new club expressing its desire to play from the new season.
The information is quite a surprise for people connected with and interested in local football. For now, there is no more detailed information on the subject, although questions are already appearing in comments on online forums about who will play for Zjednoczeni and where the new club's footballers will play their matches and train.
We have managed to establish that the association's representative is Dawid Lewandowski and that the club has been entered into the register of associations maintained by the Bolesławiec Starost. The club's full name is Klub Sportowy Zjednoczeni Nowogrodziec.
Perhaps a club website or Facebook profile will appear online soon, and then we will learn more about KS Zjednoczeni Nowogrodziec.
It is worth noting that the current football club MKS (Miejski Klub Sportowy) Chrobry Nowogrodziec was originally called ZKS (Zjednoczony Klub Sportowy) Nowogrodziecwhen it was founded in 1948, and became ZKS Budowlani Nowogrodziec in 1972. Could the name Zjednoczeni therefore be a reference to the beginnings of football in Nowogrodziec?
