The city has received funding to implement the project entitled “Modernization of street lighting in the western and southern parts of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship,” concerning:

  • installation of 3,148 LED fixtures,
  • installation of 181 brackets,
  • installation of 1,054 poles, together with replacement of the wiring,
  • installation of 7 new SO cabinets,
  • installation of 3,148 fixture controllers,
  • installation of the Smart Lights Intelligent Lighting Management System, enabling wireless and autonomous control of LED lighting fixtures (control at the level of an individual LED fixture). It supports advanced lighting scenarios for each fixture separately, as well as for groups of fixtures.

The installation of energy-efficient lighting is intended to significantly reduce energy consumption and, consequently, CO2 emissions, which will not only improve air quality but also reduce costs associated with lighting the municipality. The installation of new lamps is also expected to improve the city’s appearance.

Total project value: PLN 37,045,554.32, including the City of Bolesławiec’s share of PLN 11,726,513.10. EU funding (74.99%): no more than PLN 26,833,652.58, including the City of Bolesławiec’s share of PLN 8,793,712.17. Implementation period: 2021–2023.

The project is being implemented in partnership by the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality and City of Lwówek Śląski, the Municipality of Zgorzelec, the Municipality of Duszniki-Zdrój, the Municipality of Lubań, the City and Municipality of Bogatynia, and the Municipality of Zawidów.

By Resolution No. 3455/VI/21 of 9 March 2021, the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship approved the list of evaluated projects submitted under the competitive procedure for funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship 2014–2020, Priority Axis 3 Low-Emission Economy, Measure 3.4 Implementation of Low-Emission Strategies, Sub-measure 3.4.1 Implementation of Low-Emission Strategies – horizontal calls for applicants/beneficiaries implementing projects in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, excluding the ZIT WrOF, ZIT AJ and ZIT AW areas (Call number RPDS.03.04.01-IZ.00-02-392/20).
