While patrolling Bolesławiec, officers noticed a man who had been identified as the perpetrator of a theft committed in the last days of February.

The 34-year-old was riding a bicycle. Although the theft of this bicycle had not been reported, the officers, familiar with the preferences of the man known for stealing bicycles, decided to check who owned the property. (The rider himself was unable to logically explain where he had got the vehicle from).

The police officers’ suspicions were confirmed. At the beginning of March, the bicycle had been stolen from the stairwell of one of the blocks of flats in Bolesławiec. KPP:

Imagine the owner’s surprise when police officers contacted him to inform him that the property had been recovered before he had managed to report it.

The 34-year-old was detained. He now faces up to five years in prison.
