In the past week, officers of the Lower Silesian National Revenue Administration conducted inspections at three locations in Lower Silesia. – In Wrocław, in the Śródmieście district, they inspected a venue where illegal gambling was found to be taking place. They managed to enter the premises without using force, and secured five devices used for gambling inside – reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS. – In Świdnica County, officers of the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office, assisted by an officer of the Świdnica County Police Headquarters, conducted activities at a venue where illegal gambling was being organized. This was already the sixth inspection at this location. This time, four illegal gaming machines and cash amounting to PLN 1,460 were secured. Once again, it was necessary to use force to enter the premises.

Meanwhile, in Bolesławiec County, officers of the Lower Silesian National Revenue Administration, assisted by the Police, inspected one of the venues where there was suspicion that illegal gambling was being organized inside. In the morning, they managed to enter the premises without using force, finding five devices used for gambling.

And she adds:

During the inspection, KAS officers established that the devices could be used to conduct gambling games offering material and cash prizes. Cash amounting to PLN 2,965 was also seized.

All devices and cash uncovered by the Lower Silesian KAS officers were detained as evidence and, consequently, transferred to the deposit warehouse.

We remind you that organizing gambling in violation of the law, in addition to criminal sanctions in the form of a fine, imprisonment for up to three years, or both penalties jointly, is subject to a financial penalty of PLN 100,000 for each machine.
