Bolesławiec is making headlines across the Atlantic once again! An article dedicated to a sculptor from Bolesławiec, the creator of the famous Nochale, has appeared in “Woodcarving Illustrated”, a specialist magazine for people who enjoy carving wood. A co-author of this success is Andrzej Stefańczyk, owner of Stefańczyk Studio, as well as a journalist for TVN24 and Muzyczne Radio.
A. Stefańczyk wrote on his Facebook profile:
A year of waiting for publication! My photos have appeared in the prestigious American magazine WOODCARVING. They illustrate the process of creating the now-famous “Nochale” by Mirosław Czeladka.
He added:
My modest contribution to this undeniable success for Mirek consists of the photographic illustrations and an initial description for the article. The journalists from the USA wanted to present the labor-intensive process of creating these wooden little creatures. It is all genuine handiwork!
In the article, the sculptor himself reveals that he has already carved thousands of Nochale, but each one was unique. The Bolesławiec artist also encourages the magazine’s readers to create their own colony of Nochale.
