The incident occurred on February 23. Volunteer firefighters from Różyniec:
4:24 p.m. – dispatch to burning grass on wasteland in the village of Różyniec. Upon arriving at the scene, it turned out that approximately 5 ares of wasteland and rubbish were on fire.
They add:
Our operations involved directing one water jet at the fire and using portable firefighting equipment (fire beaters) to extinguish the fire and soak the burned area with water.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Does this incident mean that another season of grass burning can unfortunately be considered open? We will probably return to this topic.
