A Reader informed us about the situation of the residents of Starzyńskiego Street, more precisely: blocks 51–61:
The lamps on the courtyard side have not been working for more than half a year… The matter was reported to the property manager, Mr Molenda, who pursued it without success. Letters sent to the city office and SM Bolesławianka did not result in any positive resolution of the matter; no one feels responsible for what happened.
They added:
It is still dark, and when we go out for an evening walk, we do not feel comfortable.
On February 11, we asked the aforementioned property manager, as well as UM Bolesławiec and SM Bolesławianka, for comment. So far, we have received a response only from the municipal office. Agnieszka Gergont, the office’s press spokesperson:
The lamps at the buildings on Starzyńskiego Street, including those by blocks 51–61, are not managed by the Bolesławiec City Office. The Housing Cooperative is responsible for the lighting circuit.
The fact that the lamps were not working was reported by the City Office to the Housing Cooperative as early as December 2020.
Nevertheless, following our intervention, something has moved forward in the matter. As a Reader informed us on February 15, in the evening:
One lamp is currently working, illuminating the height of block 53 (the military block).
They added:
The others are still not working. I suspect that SM Bolesławianka is ignoring the issue, while the working lamp was repaired by the property manager, Mr Molenda, at the expense of the residents of the military block.
Update: 2021-02-16 14:20
Beata Ślęzak, head of Bolesławianka Housing Cooperative:
I would like to inform you that, due to a confirmed interruption in the power supply to the lamps, emergency power will be provided to three lamps on the Cooperative’s premises tomorrow, i.e. on February 17, 2021.
The permanent repair of the power supply will be carried out after the fault has been precisely located, weather conditions permitting.
