District police officers from the police station in Kruszyn witnessed a road incident. “The driver of a passenger car lost control of the vehicle in difficult road conditions and skidded, hitting a truck,” reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.

When the district officers ran to help the passenger car driver, it emerged that he was completely drunk. The test showed 2.3 per mille of alcohol in his breath.

The 44-year-old man was detained. He now faces up to two years in prison, loss of his driving licence and financial consequences.

Alcohol and difficult road conditions could have caused a tragedy, and the consequences of the irresponsible behaviour of the Bolesławiec County resident could also have been suffered by other road users. Fortunately, no one was injured this time.
