On Thursday, 3 December, a sports complex built as part of the “My Sports Field – Orlik 2012” programme was opened in Gromadka. The investment was worth over PLN 1 million. One third of the facility’s construction costs was covered by the state budget, and one third by the Self-Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The Gmina Gromadka covered the remainder.

Construction of the complex took just under three months. The Orlik is a multifunctional sports field with a polyurethane surface, where basketball players, volleyball players and amateur tennis players can play. Social facilities were also provided (the facility includes a room for the coach, a sports equipment storeroom and toilets; the changing rooms are located in the nearby School Complex in Gromadka).
