Szymon Hołownia appealed to his supporters to support Kinga. The woman is suspected of committing an offense under Article 141 of the Code of Petty Offenses: “Displaying an indecent notice, inscription or drawing in a public place or using indecent words.”
On his Facebook profile, Hołownia posted:
Kinga Gęsicka-Biały, the leader of Poland 2050 in Bolesławiec County, must report to the police station in Bolesławiec tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. as a suspect in committing an offense under Article 141 of the Code of Petty Offenses (displaying indecent drawings and using vulgar words in public places). This concerns Kinga’s participation in protests organized as part of the Bolesławiec Women's Strike.
The police, which had previously cooperated exemplary with the organizers of the Women's Strike in Bolesławiec, suddenly began prosecuting them. Three protest organizers received summonses to the police station. Our Kinga is going first, and both she and I are surprised by this sudden hardening of the line. Especially since no decision by the authorities has suspended citizens’ constitutional right to assembly.
Naturally, activists from Poland 2050 Lower Silesia will support Kinga by being present outside the police station.
On November 28, Kinga Gęsicka-Biały told our journalist why she was taking part in the protest. You can watch her statement in the material below.
