The first set was controlled by the TOP team. The visitors managed to level the score only once and made many mistakes. Several balls after their attacks hit the net or went out. The first set ended 25:20 for TOP.

The visitors found their rhythm toward the end of the second set. When the scoreboard showed 20:20, it was clear that winning the set would not be easy. A lack of focus and errors when playing the ball caused TOP to lose the second set 22:25.

The Bolesławiec team took the lead at the start of the third set. 5:1, 10:7, 20:16—the scores at various points in the set. TOP attacked effectively and blocked the opponents until the very end of the set. The closing stages became very tense, as both teams began making a succession of errors. Balls going out and a lack of coverage in TOP's play meant that the opponents were only two points away from leveling the score. Fortunately, the visitors' serving errors helped the Bolesławiec team win. The third set ended 25:21 for TOP.

Poznań won the fourth set. TOP clearly lacked an effective setter. The balls set for attacks were inaccurate. Poor sets led to attacks that were too weak or to giving the ball away "for free." In addition, the lack of coverage by players blocking the visitors' attacks was noticeable. TOP lost several points as a result of the opponents' so-called "tips." TOP lost the fourth set 19:25.

The fifth and deciding set was extremely exciting. The teams fought point for point. With the crowd cheering deafeningly, the Bolesławiec team managed to build a two-point lead at 14:12 and held on to it until the end. The fifth set ended with TOP winning 15:13. TOP Bolesławiec defeated UKS Tele Puls Budowlanka Poznań 3:2.
