On Saturday, November 28, the eighth edition of the integration party for St Andrew’s Day, organized by the Polish Red Cross, was held at the State Music School in Bolesławiec. More than 80 children from Bolesławiec County took part in the festivities: people with disabilities and children from low-income families.
The children eagerly awaited the event. A sweet snack, pizzas and packages of sweets were prepared for each participant. There were also dancing, face painting, fortune-telling and competitions with prizes. The musical entertainment was provided by students of the Occupational Therapy Workshops.
The event was co-financed by the Bolesławiec County Office, the Bolesławiec Municipal Office and the Polish Red Cross. Local government officials prepared pleasant surprises: Deputy County Head Stanisław Chwojnicki gave the children a basket full of sweets, while Bolesławiec Deputy Mayor Maciej Małkowski and City Council Chairwoman Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk handed out sweets and colorful horns to the youngest participants.
The Polish Red Cross thanks the State Music School, instructors from the Youth Cultural Center, and volunteers from the General and Vocational Schools Complex, the Complex of Electronic Schools, and the Complex of Trade and Services Schools.
