On Friday, 22 January, registration opened for vaccinations for people aged 70 and over. The reader had been calling the 989 helpline since 6:00 a.m. and got through at 9:00 a.m. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was no longer possible to register for a vaccination. The woman wrote to us:
I called the helpline at around 9 a.m., and it turns out that in Bolesławiec there are no appointments available anywhere until the end of March. What happens after that and when is not known. The state is creating quite a circus by telling people to register in advance. I did so at my local clinic at the beginning of January, and today I wanted to register using the nationwide number.
Have you had a similar experience? Who managed to register in Bolesławiec, and who is still waiting?
The website omnicalculator.com features the COVID-19 Vaccination Queue Calculator, based on the National Vaccination Programme, which allows users to estimate their place in the queue for a Covid-19 vaccination. For people aged 20+ to 50+, vaccination dates may fall as late as 2024—even if we assume that the pace of vaccinations will not accelerate. What do you think about the pace of vaccinations?
