Crime officers from the Department for Combating Crimes Against Property accurately identified and arrested a 30-year-old man who committed five burglaries in the city. “The evidence gathered and intensive investigative work enabled the investigators to bring three charges against the man for burglaries of apartments,” reports asp. Anna Grześków from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica.
She adds:
However, the arrested man did not achieve his intended goal and was unable to steal the property inside, thanks to the efficiently operating alarm system. The damage caused by the offender amounted to PLN 13,000.
Moreover, officers proved that the suspect had committed two other burglaries—this time of cars. In these cases, the offender stole money and documents, and the losses were estimated at PLN 5,000.
The 30-year-old now faces a sentence of between one and up to ten years in prison.
