Jacek Pałkiewicz is a reporter, explorer and member of the prestigious Royal Geographical Society in London. For over 30 years, he has travelled across the remote regions of the world. A sailor, karateka and glider pilot, he is the author of many books and writes for widely read European periodicals.
He pioneered the first survival school in Europe. He crossed the Atlantic alone in a 5-metre lifeboat. He has explored the greatest jungles on our planet and reached the Pole of Cold in Siberia. He trained cosmonauts and elite special forces. He has led numerous expeditions. In 1996, he discovered the source of the Amazon River.
On Monday, 30 November, at Galeria Format (Municipal Public Library, ul. Sądowa), Pałkiewicz will meet with residents of Bolesławiec twice. The first meeting will begin at 11:00; the second will start at 17:00. Everyone interested will have the opportunity to obtain the traveller’s autograph and purchase his books at very attractive prices.
The meetings will be hosted by Krzysztof Petek, a journalist, expedition and survival-school organiser, and author of a series of adventure-thriller novels for young people.
