Every day, Lower Silesian police officers, supported by other services, check whether people assigned to quarantine are actually complying with its rules. Municipal Guard officers, sanitary inspection employees and soldiers provide tremendous support in these activities.
Unfortunately, as it turns out, not everyone understands the seriousness of the situation and puts other people at risk. In such cases, they must expect serious legal consequences for their actions. Once again, we appeal for compliance with the restrictions that have been introduced.
#STAYHOME
Every day, uniformed police officers and municipal guards check whether people subject to quarantine are staying at their place of residence and whether they need assistance. They also use municipal monitoring for this purpose. The information collected is then forwarded to the sanitary services.
Experience shows that, in most cases, people in home isolation comply with sanitary orders. However, there are also cases of highly irresponsible behavior by residents who leave their quarantine location. They disregard the recommendations of the services and, above all, their own health and lives and those of other people.
It is worth knowing that severe consequences will be imposed on people who fail to comply with the quarantine rules. Police officers will conduct explanatory proceedings in connection with the offense, while sanitary services may impose a substantial financial penalty.
If a person whose infection has been confirmed leaves the place where they are required to stay, they will be held liable under Article 165 of the Criminal Code. This offense is punishable by 6 months to 8 years in prison.
During this difficult period for us all, let us be responsible for our own health and lives and those of other people. Let us follow the slogan #STAYHOME.
