At the ceremony, held on Thursday, November 19, in the conference room of the Bolesławiec County Office, participants included employees of county institutions dealing with social assistance and civic affairs, as well as representatives of social assistance centres and non-governmental organizations.

The ceremony was opened by county head Cezary Przybylski, who thanked social workers for the effort they put into helping people in need. The chair of the County Council, Karol Stasik, also spoke: “Do not stop doing what you do. It is wonderful work! I wish it would always bring you satisfaction and professional fulfilment. Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of those in need in Bolesławiec County.”

Employees of county institutions and representatives of non-governmental organizations were presented with diplomas and awards. “The celebration of Social Worker’s Day is a great promotion of this profession,” said Danuta Marecka, head of the Powiatowe Centrum Pomocy Rodzinie. “A profession that requires commitment and dedication to people who need help during dramatic moments in their lives.”

The ceremony was enhanced by performances by participants of the Occupational Therapy Workshops in Bolesławiec.
