Today, December 13, a large nationwide protest is taking place in Warsaw by citizens who disagree with the decision of Julia Przyłębska’s Constitutional Tribunal concerning abortion and with the right-wing government.

Residents of Bolesławiec are in Warsaw today at the General Strike. We received a video showing a police cordon protecting frightened right-wing politicians. The police in Warsaw are brutal, as the recordings show and eyewitness accounts report. That is why protesters are asking their fellow citizens in uniform whether the police officers are on the right side.

On the event’s Facebook page, titled “We are marching for freedom, we are marching for everything,” one can read a statement from the organizers of Sunday’s protests: the All-Poland Women’s Strike and the Warsaw Women’s Strike.

PiS is waging war against the entire world: against women, young people, teachers, doctors, entrepreneurs, public-sector employees and Europe (etc.).
Without declaring a state of emergency, they have in fact imposed martial law on us.
They disregard society.
They are stuffing their pockets.
They beat people in the streets.
And we are free, women and men, and we will not give up that freedom!
They did not want to talk to us—now they have all of us against them.
Let’s march together for freedom!

A video filmed by residents of Bolesławiec at 32 Mickiewicza Street, 100 meters from Jarosław Kaczyński’s home. As you can see and hear, there is strength in numbers. Our warmest greetings to the residents of Bolesławiec in Warsaw.
