What do you think a woman should be like? Well-mannered, kind, quiet and giving birth to children at the beck and call of maternal instinct? Caring, loving, forgiving and faithful, someone who does not know any rude words? Would you like to be such ideal women? And do you think such a woman exists?

Ola Petrus:

To Mr Tadeusz (Rydzyk), I am not an ideal woman and I never intend to be.

A lady is a lady when she respects herself more than the opinion of old men who have nothing to say.

I do not trust someone who is angry, furious and frustrated and says gosh darn it.

Sarcasm is the domain of intelligent people.

Given what has been happening in our country lately, there is nothing left to do but use some choice language.

I do not want ideal women or ideal people to exist.

Our flaws and imperfections make us who we are.

We should be happy with ourselves as we are.

I wish all of us would emerge from these holidays stronger, happier and sticking together.

While waiting for the interview, we recommend Ola Petrus’s new Christmas project: the Christmas song “The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl,” which Ola performs with Robert Cichy.
