On 3 December, officers from the Bolesławiec Road Traffic Department and the Military Police conducted joint operations focused on road safety. The uniformed officers checked 32 vehicles.
Despite the difficult road conditions, many drivers exceeded the speed limit. A 29-year-old resident of Wałbrzych County was “caught” twice during speed checks. After being stopped for the first time, the delivery van driver promised the officers that he would now drive more slowly. He did not expect another patrol to be stationed several hundred metres away. The second speed measurement also showed that he was driving too fast.
A 25-year-old resident of Osiecznica Municipality lost his driving licence for three months after exceeding the speed limit in a built-up area by 60 km/h. The driver received 10 penalty points and a fine.
