Bolesławiec police officers verify and monitor locations identified by residents in the National Security Threat Map application. Thanks to this application, every user can provide the Police with information about potentially dangerous locations.

The National Security Threat Map can be used to report:

  • acts of vandalism,
  • wild swimming areas,
  • illegal rubbish dumps,
  • groups of minors at risk of demoralization,
  • poaching,
  • dangerous locations in bodies of water,
  • dangerous recreational activities,
  • illegal tree felling,
  • illegal car rallies,
  • improper parking,
  • unguarded crossing over railway tracks,
  • unguarded railway crossing,
  • inadequate road infrastructure,
  • damage to greenery,
  • a homeless person requiring assistance,
  • riding quad bikes in forested areas,
  • exceeding the speed limit,
  • drinking alcohol in prohibited places,
  • drownings,
  • use of intoxicating substances,
  • stray dogs,
  • grass burning,
  • road incidents involving wild animals,
  • animal cruelty,
  • poor organization of road traffic,
  • begging.

Verification and follow-up activities related to reports submitted in the district are carried out by officers serving in the designated areas. Depending on the type of report, these are police officers from the prevention or traffic division. All points placed on the threat map are verified.     

Each point is systematically monitored by police patrols, and offenders are fined. According to the officers, their actions are producing results, and fewer people are committing offenses in locations marked on the threat map.     

Police officers remind residents that a potentially dangerous location can also be added to the threat map via the link – National Security Threat Map – on the website of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
