The eleventh Women’s Strike has already taken place in Bolesławiec. People are walking through the city streets in protest against the tightening of abortion law, which, following publication of the Constitutional Tribunal’s ruling, will prohibit Polish women from terminating pregnancies involving damaged, undeveloped fetuses.

More than 60 people took part in Saturday’s demonstration. This is encouraging, because after so many days of strikes throughout Poland, it is clear that people are not tired of the issue and are not backing down from the Law and Justice government.

The Bolesławiec Women’s Strike announced Saturday’s march as follows:

This will be the 11th in our city! This time, the date is not accidental, as it marks the 102nd anniversary of Polish women winning voting rights. They won what was theirs! Now it’s our turn! It doesn’t matter who you are or what background you come from—you can fight with us, because we all have one goal: to defeat this government!
