Volunteers want a bill amending education law and introducing the obligation to employ a psychologist in every school. This is an urgent need, especially nowadays, when Poland is facing a mental health crisis among young people. By December 4, 100,000 citizens’ signatures must be collected for the bill to be submitted to the Sejm. Marta Kozłowska a councillor of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Youth Parliament, and Aleksandra Fecyk will be waiting for people wishing to add their signatures to the list on Thursday, November 26, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. The women will collect signatures in Bolesławiec’s Market Square and its vicinity.

The citizens’ bill proposal was prepared by the Committee’s Representative, as well as the President and Founder of the Foundation for Student Rights, Mikołaj Wolanin. Thanks to this bill, a psychologist will be present in every school and educational institution, with whom children and young people will be able to work through their problems and difficulties, as well as consider together whom to approach to resolve a given problem when it is more complex.

We have covered the issue of mental health on our pages many times. Most recently, while promoting the book “Scars: How the Psychosystem Destroys Our Children” Witold Bereś and Janusz Schwertner.
