The project cost—under the agreement concluded—was PLN 750,000 and was covered by Bolesławiec Municipality. Bolesławiec County, meanwhile, financed the preparation of the design and surveying documentation. Thanks to the fruitful cooperation between the two local governments, residents of Żeliszów can safely use the new 1,060 linear metre section of pavement.
The district road carriageway was widened on one side to 5.5 metres, and the necessary driveways were constructed along the planned pavement. As part of the project, to improve the safety of road users, new vertical and horizontal road markings were installed, as well as safety barriers protecting pedestrian traffic.
The section of pavement in Żeliszów rebuilt in 2020 is a continuation of the project that began the previous year. In 2019, a 990 linear metre section of pavement was opened for use. At that time, the necessary culverts beneath the road were constructed, the road drainage elements were renewed, and safety barriers were installed on the bends. The carriageway was also widened to the required 5.5 metres, and on road curves—to 6.5 metres. The construction work cost approximately PLN 885,000 and was financed by Bolesławiec Municipality.
Bolesławiec County is currently continuing the construction of the pavement in Żeliszów on the final section, approximately 670 linear metres long. By the end of 2020, the project—carried out through cooperation between Bolesławiec County and Bolesławiec Municipality and aimed at ensuring residents’ safety—will be completed.
