City Hall officials:

The project was submitted as part of the first call for projects under Measure 1, Improving Cultural Heritage Management, of the Culture Programme financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the state budget.

The project will be implemented in partnership with Telemark Museum in Skien, Norway. The operator and project partner will be the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec. The aim of the project, prepared in cooperation between the Municipality of Bolesławiec, Telemark Museum and the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, is to include two renowned ceramic centres—the Polish Bolesławiec and the Norwegian Porsgrunn—in one of the certified European Cultural Routes: the European Ceramic Route. As part of the initiative, work is planned to give a new cultural function to the unused heritage building that is Pückler Palace on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec.

They add:

As a result, the potential of the building will be put to use, with the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec conducting its activities there.

City Hall: “The heritage site will become a place for providing cultural and educational programmes, a space for developing and strengthening a sense of belonging to the local community, raising awareness of ceramic traditions and promoting cultural heritage internationally. The historic Pückler Palace will host, among other things, workshops, exhibitions, museum lessons, artistic activities, demonstrations and lectures, practical sessions for people with disabilities on creating and decorating ceramics, workshops for children and young people, and more.”
