As we read on the profile of the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki:
This week, for the first time in two months, the number of infections began to fall! Although the infection rate—65 per 100,000 residents—is still high, this is nevertheless the first sign of stabilization and proof that our strategy and restrictions are beginning to have an effect!
What does this mean?
We do not need to introduce a national quarantine!
He added:
Following consultations with the Medical Council, we have determined that if the number of infections remains at a similar level, more radical measures will not be necessary.
He also addressed his fellow citizens:
Dear friends—we have slowed the spread of infections through a joint effort, just before reaching the critical point! Discipline works! Therefore, I continue to ask—and will continue to ask—let us stay at home. The principle is simple: the fewer social contacts, the lower the chance of infection and the greater the chance of slowing the epidemic.
We have won the first battle in the war against the pandemic’s second wave. A long struggle still lies ahead, but one thing is certain—we will win it together!
What do you think?
