Pursuant to the order of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki dated 23 October, soldiers of the Military Police will provide support to the Police. The military is to appear on the streets of Polish cities on Wednesday.

ORDER NO. 180 OF THE PRIME MINISTER
of 23 October 2020 concerning the use of Military Police soldiers to provide assistance to the Police

Pursuant to Article 18a(1) of the Act of 6 April 1990 on the Police (Journal of Laws of 2020, items 360, 956 and 1610), the following is ordered:
§ 1. In connection with the spread of the epidemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the increase in COVID-19 cases across the country, Military Police soldiers shall, from 28 October 2020 until the epidemic is revoked, assist the Police in protecting security and public order.
§ 2. The order shall enter into force on the day following its publication.

Recently, those in power have been dealing not only with the coronavirus epidemic, but also with protests over restrictions related to COVID-19 and, above all, protests against tightening abortion laws, that is, limiting women’s freedoms in Poland.
