The owner of the istotne.pl portal received a text message from Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz several hours after publishing an article about the apostazja.eu website.
Mr Krzysztof, due to your activities, please remove your equipment installed on the basilica by 29 October 2020. Fr A. Jarosiewicz, rector of the basilica. The formula of our cooperation has now run its course.
There is one camera on the tower of the Bolesławiec basilica showing a panorama of Bolesławiec, while two more cameras inside the church show its interior. Father Jarosiewicz has never incurred any costs related to purchasing or operating the cameras or to data-transfer fees. He was a beneficiary of this cooperation. Our cameras not only showed the interior of the church, which was largely restored with public funds, but also served as a monitoring system.
We will not allow ourselves to be blackmailed and recommend the apostazja.eu website to everyone; it describes the apostasy procedure and includes a statement generator. We have two slogans for Father Jarosiewicz’s decision, repeated throughout Poland: #ToJestWojna and #MamyDość.
Let us recall that interest in the apostazja.eu website and this procedure is growing rapidly. This is probably the result of the policies of those in power aimed at tightening abortion laws. More about apostasy in our article: Apostasy, or how to leave the Church – a form to fill in.
