This year marks the 91st anniversary of the restoration of independence. On Wednesday, November 11, local authorities invite residents to celebrations commemorating the event. The program of ceremonies organized by the District Office will include:
- 09:30 the lecture “Paths to Independence,” a concert of patriotic music, and the opening of the “Birth of Independence” exhibition – all in the district office’s conference room
- 11:30 assembly of the honor guard company and flag-bearing delegations at the district office headquarters
- 11:45 march through the city streets to the Market Square
- 12:00 military ceremony in the Market Square
- 13:30 Holy Mass for the Homeland at the Church of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Staszica housing estate).
The Municipality of Bolesławiec and the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship also invite residents to the piano concert “Chopin Has Arrived”, featuring Wojciech Waleczek and Nikodem Wojciechowski.
The concert will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the Forum Hall of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. Admission is free.
