District officials:
Bolesławiec County is always open to cooperation with associations, clubs and all public-benefit organizations. Therefore, on 13 July 2020, by Resolution No. 252/2020 of the Board of Bolesławiec County, the District Council for Public Benefit Activities was appointed for the fifth time.
The ceremonial meeting of this body took place on 22 September. It had a dual purpose: thanking and bidding farewell to the members of the Council’s fourth term, and welcoming the new Council appointed for the next three years.
District:
Its members included people serving on the Council for the first time, as well as people again nominated by organizations to this advisory and consultative body. The Council will provide assistance in cooperation between the county government and the third sector.
Katarzyna Grzelczyk, secretary of the Council’s fourth term, spoke about the body’s work during its term. She particularly highlighted joint meetings with the Council for People with Disabilities, as well as a meeting concerning implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the accessibility of public spaces in our county for people with various types of disabilities.
At its first meeting, the Council familiarized itself with the regulations that will form the basis of its work, and its presidium was elected. Adam Bartków of the Active Rehabilitation Foundation was elected chairperson; Maria Klimkowska of the Society of Friends of Children became deputy chairperson; and Iwona Champlewska of the “Camera” Photographic Association was elected secretary.
Council members expressed hope that, together with the District, non-governmental organizations would continue to undertake activities for local residents—including people with disabilities, children, young people and older people; that the District would provide assistance and support; and that non-governmental organizations would demonstrate initiatives serving the local community.

- Mariusz Lickiewicz – Bolesławiec Cycling Group.
