In Wednesday’s quarterfinal match of the Jelenia Góra District Polish Cup, Apis Jędrzychowice defeated BKS Bolesławiec 2–0 (2–0) at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street. Maciej Machowski scored both goals (39th and 44th minutes). The Jędrzychowice team advanced to the semifinals of the competition.
BKS players began the cup match against Apis Jędrzychowice very tense. During the first 30 minutes, the fans mostly watched play in the middle of the pitch. Apart from a dangerous shot by Filip Zagórski, the hosts were unable to threaten the visitors’ goal. Toward the end of the first half, Apis’s players ruthlessly capitalized on an error by the Bolesławiec defense. Maciej Machowski took advantage of the defenders’ inaccurate ball play to make it 1–0. A few minutes later, just before halftime, the same player doubled the lead to 2–0. There were no more goals in the second half. Both teams had several chances to change the score, but both goalkeepers performed well. Apis were the more clinical team and deservedly won the match.
