On 31 August 2020, the chairman of Bolesławiec City Council, Jarosław Kowalski, submitted his written resignation from the council mandate to the election commissioner. Jarosław Kowalski’s resignation was connected with his taking up the position of president of Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej Sp. z o.o. in Bolesławiec. In connection with the above, the Election Commissioner in Jelenia Góra decided that his place would be taken by Dawid Karol Kołodziej, a candidate from the same list, no. 17 – Piotr Roman’s Non-Party Voters’ Election Committee, who in the election to Bolesławiec City Council in electoral district no. 4 received the next-highest number of votes and had not lost eligibility to be elected or waived priority to assume the mandate.
