On August 31, the mayor of Nowogrodziec, Robert Relich, handed over keys to new social housing apartments in the building at 14 Lubańska Street to 4 families.
Municipal officials:
The Nowogrodziec Municipality acquired the building from the former Inco-Veritas plant in 2015. The building was in poor technical condition; several retail and service outlets operated there, while the remaining rooms were unfit for use. The property was included in Nowogrodziec’s revitalization plan with a view to renovating it, carrying out a thorough modernization and giving it an appropriate function.
They add:
Ultimately, it was decided that the building would serve three functions:
- a service function, which will remain on the ground floor
- a commercial function in the form of a small “Business Incubator,” with low-rent premises for business activities on the first floor
- a residential function, as 16 social housing apartments were created for residents of the municipality on the first and second floors of the building.
