On Saturday, October 17, a Little Rescuer first-aid competition was held at the I General Secondary School. Nine five-person teams took part. In the primary-school category, the team from Primary School No. 4 in Bolesławiec proved to be the best. The team from the Jan Paul II School Complex in Osiecznica came second, while the representatives of the European Union School Complex in Świętoszów took third place.
In the lower-secondary-school category, the team from the Jan Paul II School Complex in Osiecznica triumphed. The team from Municipal Lower Secondary School No. 3 in Bolesławiec came second, while the representatives of the European Union School Complex in Świętoszów took third place.
The rosters of both ZS teams from Osiecznica included members of the Youth Fire Brigade operating at the local Volunteer Fire Service. “It was the first time we had taken part in such a competition. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect,” Damian Tomiak, head of the MDP, told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal. “But the young firefighters did wonderfully. Once again, they showed what they are capable of. I am proud of them,” he added.
The competition was organized by the Polish Red Cross in Bolesławiec.
