The renovation of the observation tower in Nowogrodziec has been completed. Municipal Office:
As part of the project, sheet-metal work was carried out, including a titanium-zinc sheet waterspout and lightning protection installation. The architectural elements made of ceramic brick and sandstone within the façade were renovated; the window and door joinery within the façade was reconstructed; the fan-shaped internal staircase, the tower ceiling and the internal plasterwork around the window openings were renovated.
The surrounding area was also renovated by dismantling the octagonal brick plinth around the tower and reconstructing it with new bricks, renovating the retaining walls and the surface of the square around the tower, as well as the surface of the entrance steps, and reconstructing the pedestrian paths.
Municipal officials add:
We also plan to install benches and litter bins and clear the park of bushes and self-seeded trees so that the park can serve all of you – the Residents of the Nowogrodziec Municipality and Town – as a place to relax.
Mayor Robert Relich:
The project is another effort aimed at increasing the city’s potential as a tourist attraction.
