The Saturday event began with a performance by a vocal group led by Marcin Rolak, a graduate of the Academy of Music in Wrocław. During several appearances, the group presented works by Polish composers as well as Leonard Cohen’s well-known anthem “Hallelujah”.
The costumes for the vocal group were sewn by Małgorzata Dorosz and her team from Efekt Wow Dekor Pracownia Krawiecka „Perła”. The female and male vocalists, painted with clay, wore original costumes. The central motif was birds and scaffold-like cages.
The 20-plus-member ZUMBA group, led by Magdalena Korczowska and Joanna Piekarz, danced at Glina Show 2020 to Latin American rhythms. The women were painted at Ceramika Artystyczna Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego.
Unexpectedly, we also made a gate for a newlywed couple who were getting married that day. The bride and groom got out of their car and posed for a photo together with the Glina Show participants. There was a resounding “Sto lat” for the newlyweds and wishes for prosperity.
The following helped us organize the event: Powiat Bolesławiecki, Adent Aneta Cieśla, Odra Park Konsorcjum Handlowe, Ceramika Artystyczna Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego, Safarizoo.pl and Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury – Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki.
